Ultimate Guest Bedroom Checklist

Writer's picture: Melanie BlackwellMelanie Blackwell

Do you have a guest bedroom that needs some cleaning out and sprucing up? Are you expecting visitors after a long season of not being able to travel? On the blog today, I give you some things to consider having on hand for your next overnight guest!

I don't know about you but after traveling for hours and over miles, I really just want to take a hot shower and "hit the hay", so to speak! Items that are nice to have readily available when your guests arrive (and so they don't have to ask) might be:

  1. A set of towels and possibly some small travel sized soap, shampoo and conditioner (and if you are feeling particularly generous) a small travel sized toothpaste as well!

2. The Wi-Fi password

3. A few bottles of water

4. Extra blankets and a variety of pillows for a good night's sleep (or an afternoon nap)!

A few 'extras' to consider when setting up a space that feels cozy/comfortable/homey:

5. A phone charger cable

6. A nice scented candle

7. Space in the closet, in a dresser or on 'over-the-door-hooks' for clothes

8. A sound machine (particularly for baby guests) or alarm clock

9. A fan

10. Magazines or a few good books
